Morphly's generation engine is built on Doubao Seedream 5.0, ByteDance's state-of-the-art image generation model. Seedream is specifically optimized for human portrait generation, delivering face identity preservation and photorealistic quality that general-purpose models can't match.

Generation quality tiers

Morphly offers two quality modes:

Standard is suitable for most use cases: social media, profile photos, presentations, and web use.

Pro 4K is recommended when you need the highest possible quality — large-format printing, commercial campaigns, or any use where every detail matters.

Writing effective prompts

When writing a custom prompt, be specific about:

• Clothing — "wearing a dark navy suit with white shirt"
• Expression — "natural confident smile", "serious and focused", "relaxed and approachable"
• Environment — "indoor office with bookshelves", "outdoor park in autumn", "minimalist white studio"
• Lighting — "soft window light from the left", "golden hour backlight", "studio ring light"
• Framing — "headshot from shoulders up", "three-quarter body shot"

Prompt priority: Custom prompt text has high priority over preset configurations. If your prompt conflicts with a preset setting (e.g., you specify a bright outdoor scene but selected a dark studio preset), your text will take precedence.

Variations and regeneration

Each time you click Generate, Morphly produces a new variation using the same settings. Use this to:

• Explore different interpretations of the same prompt
• Find the best expression or pose from multiple outputs
• Compare subtle differences in lighting or composition

Regeneration costs the same credits as the initial generation.

Chat-to-edit

After a portrait is generated, you can refine it using the Chat-to-Edit field:

1. Describe the change in plain language: "make the lighting softer and more natural", "change the background to an outdoor setting", "add a slight smile"
2. Click send — Morphly applies the edit and returns a revised version

Each edit costs 1 credit (Standard) or 2 credits (Pro 4K).

Batch generation

Select multiple style presets at once and set the Variations per style count. Morphly generates all combinations in a single run. The credit cost is shown in the checkout summary before you confirm.

Example: 3 styles × 2 variations = 6 images = 6 credits (Standard) or 12 credits (Pro 4K).

Generation history

All your generated portraits are saved in the Generation History panel. You can:

• Mark images as favorites for quick access
• Download any past result at any time
• Delete individual history items to keep your workspace clean
• Organize generations into Projects for client or campaign work

Tips for best results

1. Use 3–5 reference photos in your Person Profile — more angles means better likeness accuracy
2. Be specific in your prompt — vague prompts produce generic results
3. Start with a preset, then add custom text — presets give structure, prompts add specifics
4. Use Pro 4K for final outputs — Standard is great for exploring, Pro 4K for delivery
5. Generate multiple variations — the first result isn't always the best one
